4Drive Chile connects travellers with local rental companies operating in key regions of Chile. We handle the booking process online so you can reserve a 4x4, SUV or sedan from home. The vehicle comes from a local company in the city where you collect it. You sign the rental agreement directly with that company when you pick up the keys.
We operate from Providencia, Santiago, Chile. Our office hours run Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (GMT-3). You can reach us at [email protected] for questions before or during your rental.
Search for a vehicle by entering your pick-up location, dates and drop-off point. You will see available options with vehicle specifications and rental terms. Each listing shows the accepted payment methods for the balance at collection.
When you book online, you pay a booking advance by card. We send you a voucher by email with the details of the local rental company, their contact information and pick-up instructions. At the agreed time you collect the vehicle from the company's counter, terminal desk or by delivery to your hotel, depending on the supplier.
You inspect the vehicle with a company representative and sign the rental agreement. Any existing damage is noted in the contract. The representative explains the vehicle's features and hands over the keys. You pay the balance using the method specified in your voucher - debit card, cash or credit card, depending on the vehicle you booked.

Pick-up and drop-off arrangements vary by location. Some companies operate desks at airports or bus terminals. Others deliver vehicles to hotels or arrange meetings at their offices.
Many of the vehicles we offer do not require a blocked deposit on your card at collection. This removes the need to have a large amount frozen on a credit card for the duration of the rental. The rental agreement will still include an excess amount that applies if the vehicle is damaged or stolen, and the local company will explain this when you sign the contract.
No-deposit rentals are available across different vehicle types, from compact sedans to 4x4 pickups. The specific terms are shown when you search and are confirmed in your voucher. This option helps travellers who prefer not to tie up funds on their card or who hold debit cards with lower limits.
